Grooming

Grooming is an important part of pet care. Depending on the breed, age,and health of your pet, grooming may even need to be a part of you and your pet’s daily routine. Many breeds require less grooming than this, but regular grooming always helps to keep your pet healthy and comfortable.  Long haired cats can particularly benefit from regular grooming as it helps prevent the formation of knots on the skin and hairballs in the stomach.

Our Grooming Services

If you are looking for a professional groom we recommend that you go and see Erin Timbrell at DGA GROOMING STUDIO in Bowral. Erin is one of our part time veterinary nurses and when she is not working at the clinic she is running her own grooming salon, DGA Grooming studio. As a rule, we do not do grooming at the Ironmines Veterinary Clinic unless you have an animal that is very anxious about being clipped. In these situations we can offer a sedation and clip done by one of our Veterinary Nurses. Before any animal is sedated it will be given as a full physical examination by one of the veterinarians to ensure it is a suitable candidate to sedate.
